Self Reflection My Personal Narrative - 1363 Words

I went to Confession every Saturday, four o’clock sharp. Anyone unprepared asked for remarks. Contrary to belief, I took years polishing an eloquent routine, all the way down to the right DSW shoes. Each week, I trimmed more and more time off each session to show improvement in my self reflection as Father Bob once said I lacked. After I requested the holiest advice, my priest sent me to a website called Christway Counseling for qualities I must inherit. Availability vs. self-centeredness: the first item on the list to fix. Periodically, but only occasionally, I turned down pleas from classmates to finish their essay. Presumably, I decided the next time she begged for my aid, I proved my devotion to God: I wrote the whole essay. As the†¦show more content†¦By pure chance, a gust of wind knocked me straight to the floor as Peter galloped out, sneering in my direction. â€Å"She should have brushed her hair before this,† he thought, noticing the fault in my prepa ration. I clenched onto the knot I formed in the process of twirling the choppy frames of my face. My escape plan seized and I looked towards the lion’s den; the smoke surrounded me, oppressed my body into a glass ball about to crack. Notwithstanding my desire to suddenly catch a contentious and lethal disease, I trudged into judgment day under the heated magnifying glass. My initial breath selfishly absorbed any existing oxygen. Gasping for air, all circulation ran out of my toes; each step felt heavier and heavier until my feet locked with the carpet and soon my face reached the edge of the chair before I did; nevertheless, I army crawled through the blind spot between the priest and me, wiping the mud off my face. Obeying the order, I sprang onto the chair like it was my duty to fill it; as soon as I made full contact, my sinful actions steamed the vacant atmosphere. Frozen by the unforgiving light, beads of sweat fell off my forehead, my mind crashed; control alt delete, everything misted into the great beyond.
